Les Ramiers

Winding and undulating paths, traced by the multiple passages of cyclists joggers and strollers provide the opportunity to discover a nearly virgin nature.

Les ramiers

While walking along the river, which in this period leaves long beaches of white pebble and invites us for a quiet nap in the shade of the trees at the edge of “The Ramier”, we listen to the rolling of the waves on the pebbles and shingle on the riverbed. The multiple paths cross thickets and carry the walkers along the broad, majestic and well maintained paths of the seven lakes of “Quinze sols”, a paradise for the anglers of the Beauzelle-Blagnac club who take great care of roads and lakes.

The stroll around these ponds is a real lesson of “Nature”. Everyone can, as he pleases, observe and even photograph the various species of birds. The luckiest, the early risers will catch sight of pensive grey herons in the middle of a pond and can admire them as they fly off at the slightest noise.

It takes one and a half hour to go around these splendours. Even in a scorching heat, this timeless place welcomes strollers in search of a little coolness by these lakes. To get to this magic place, we walk through the parking space of “Le Ramier” of Beauzelle ahead to the mill of Naudin. From Blagnac, we get to it from the path “du Tiers Etat”. Fifty acres of nature to everyone’s reach !

The Bouconne forest

The forest of Bouconne is made up of 2,017ha of national forest, 374 ha of local forest and 466ha of private woods.

Forêt de Bouconne

This massif located in the vicinity of the Urban Community of Toulouse is the only forest within a 30km radius around Toulouse. It is approximately 10km long and 4.5 km broad. A project of classification is underway in order to protect this forest from any form of urbanisation.

The forest of Bouconne constitutes a rare and precious natural territory that helps preserve a certain number of ecosystem. This forest includes numerous varieties of tree species: oaks, pines, chestnut trees and fruit trees such as crab apple tree.
Protected species have been identified such as the Hen-Harrier and the Wood Warbler. The management of the site makes it possible to reconcile the reception of the public, the protection of environment and landscapes, the management of the wildlife as well as the production of firewood.

In 1833 a path was created. It crosses the whole forest in its biggest length and partly takes up the route du “Chemin Salinier”. This track joins Mondoville to Pujaudran. From the central parking space of the forest, we can get to “le parcours de santé” on the right side of the central path. The northern sector is delimited by the road that goes from Levignac to the N224 highway extending to Mondoville. This is in this part that we find the leisure centre, the Chappe Tower, the Bordette lake and the former firing range.

The recreation centre in Montaigut-sur-Save offers a wide range of activities to benefit from nature in family; relaxation areas, exhibitions, swimming pool, tennis courts, mini-golf, mini-basket, volleyball, children’s games and a starting point for trekking, a picnic area and other outdoor activities.

The Green Lane

This green way is derived from Airbus choice to install the assembly lines of the A380 in Toulouse Blagnac and thus the creation of a route with large gauge to convey by the road the fuselage and wing surface which arrive at Langon.

Voie verteIt has been necessary to arrange roads or create new ones (closed at night when the convoys pass) and create ways dedicated to A380, but authorised to pedestrians and cyclists. These sections are real Green Ways !
In the Haute Garonne , that involved the creation of a splendid Green Road linking Beauzelle, Cornebarieu and Blagnac to the Forest of Bouconne with 3.5km of cycle paths along a new road, then 9 km of dedicated road, 8 kilometres additional were arranged along the N224 until Ségoufielle (Gers) from where we can easily reach L’Isle-Jourdain.
