Workshops
Fine arts:
Open to beginners or experienced people, about sixty people attend the different workshops.
A selection of various artistic activities are taught by a dynamic and motivated teacher:
- painting: workshop intended for children from the age of seven and adults wishing to learn or improve their watercolours and their painting in oils,
- drawing: pencil, ink, charcoal, pastel,
- sculpture: modelling (clay, plaster), stone cutting,
- a technique specific course is given each week to those who want to improve.
Classes (two hours for adults and one and a half hour for teenagers) take place over the week, from mid-September until June. A competition show is organised every year in October. The concept is based on a specific theme set in January and the competition is open to all, members and people from outside.
Ballroom dancing:
To learn how to dance or improve in a friendly atmosphere around a programme: rock, salsa, samba, waltz, rumba, tango……
These classes lasting one hour on Thursday, from 7p.m., take place weekly at the Cultural Centre “Le Pigeonnier des Arts”, from October until June. Moreover, a training time accessible to all groups is held every Wednesday evening at the Cultural Centre.
African dance:
In a convivial ambience, this workshop has been created to learn or to improve in this discipline. It is run by a qualified teacher and a percussionist.
- Course of one and a half hour every Monday from 8p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Cultural Centre.
Language workshops: English, Spanish
English workshop for adults:
- general English programme designed to adults who wish to learn or improve their ability in English
- accessible to beginner, elementary and intermediate levels to meet everyone’s requirement,
- one and a half hour per week course.
NEW
English workshops for children aged 5 to 7 (for a minimum number of 6 children)
- initiation à l'anglais sous forme ludique et récréative (jeux, activités manuelles, chansons et comptines diverses)
- séances de 45 minutes, le mercredi après-midi de 14h à 16h
- groupe de 6 enfants maximum
Spanish workshop for adults:
- acquisition or development of knowledge in Spanish
- accessible to beginners and false beginners,
- one and a half hour per week course.
These workshops take place at the Cultural Centre “Le Pigeonnier des Arts”, from September until June.
Introduction to computers/PC discovery:
Group of up to four people for a period of five sessions of one and a half hour each, at the Young Citizen’s house.
- Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
